The role you’ll contribute:

The Physician Enterprise Financial Analyst will support the timely development and analysis of financial information to successfully support Physician Enterprise in the West Florida Region (WFR). The Analyst will be an integral part of the Florida Hospital Finance team and will work closely with the FHPG Financial Manager, FHPG VP of Finance, Hospital Finance, and PE Operations to ensure accuracy and completeness of yearly budgets and month-end financial and management reporting. He/She will provide regional coverage as required to either Tampa, Carrollwood, North Pinellas, Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, Dade City, Ocala and any future WFR market.

Prepares and analyzes consolidated reporting for physician practices on actuals, budgets, and prior periods on a monthly basis ensuring data accuracy. Effectively work with centralized WFR Accounting team.

Analyzes actual operating results and identifies key financial and operating issues to be addressed; quantifies actual results versus forecast, addressing discrepancies and adverse trends as necessary. Participates in presentation of results in monthly Hospital and Operational meetings.

Performs calculations and review of physician compensation calculations.

Creates reports and analysis of daily/weekly operating statistics, to include but not be limited to daily revenue reports.

Responsible for internal financial statements, management reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support physician practice operations, Physician Enterprise strategic initiatives, and other projects as needed.

Maintain financial systems by updating monthly data and organizational changes.

Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget including detailed support and analysis of the company’s revenue forecast and departmental budgets, and development of presentations to help summarize budget results in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format.

Work with Operational leaders to ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly and discrepancies resolved.

Assist with various projects as assigned.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), able to interact with the Hospital and Physician Enterprise executives and team members, including physicians.

Ability to work with large datasets and compile them into a summarized form for analysis.

Work with minimum supervision using independent judgment and problem-solving skills.

Well organized with the ability to prioritize numerous projects.

Effective multi-tasking skills.

Computer expertise in MS Office programs, specifically Outlook and Excel.

Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work in a fast pace environment.

Ability to use logic, critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.

Ability to prepare well documented work papers.

Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution of higher education.

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing environment

Experience with Peoplesoft ERP or similar accounting software system

Knowledge of and experience with Excel, including VLOOKUPS, Pivots and manipulation of large data sets

1 to 3 years of exposure to Physician Enterprise, Hospital or other Healthcare finances

Prior experience as an accountant with a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principals
