The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Headache Neurologist to join its dynamic team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities. Appointment at the University of Kansas School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
The successful candidate will be board-certified in Neurology and have fellowship training in headache medicine. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role will include opportunities for clinical research including clinical trials, and teaching. Outstanding candidates at earlier stages of their careers will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
The position involves providing comprehensive care for neurology patients, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of headache. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and managing neurology patients in various settings, such as general neurology clinics, headache clinics, continuity clinic supervision and during inpatient consultations. The role also requires participation in on-call coverage and educating medical students, residents, and fellows through both formal and informal group settings. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend clinical expertise, education, and scholarly pursuit within a collaborative and innovative environment.
