Position Purpose
As a Physician_Hematology Oncology, employee provides Diagnosis and management of adult malignancies and hematologic disorders, both benign and malignant, including use of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatment. Oversight of infusion therapy and management of disease-related symptoms. Work closely with advance practice providers for continuity of care within the clinic.
Nature and Scope
The incumbent obtains history, examines, diagnoses, counsels, and treats patients within the physicians area of specialty and experience. The incumbent makes critical decisions regarding medical care. The incumbent works closely and in cooperation with the management staff, directs comments and questions to the appropriate management person and follows administrative policies. The incumbent actively participates in physician governance meetings, management decisions, and follows policies adopted by Renown Health and its medical staff. The incumbent stays abreast of current advances in medicine by reviewing recent publications, attending in-services and educational meetings, and attending continuing medical education programs in the appropriate field. Incumbent will be expected to participate in Cancer Conference(s), accreditation(s), assigned committees, and clinical trials/research. Additionally, incumbent will utilize Electronic Medical Record, including medication reconciliation, diagnosis (ICD-10), problem list, and completion of staging forms.

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
Prior experience in referenced specialty, preferred.
License(s):
Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Nevada Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine license. Controlled substance License to Prescribe issued by the State of Nevada and Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the DEA, required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Certification Life Support (ACLS) required. Prefer American Heart Association (AHA) approved certification, but will accept online certification from American Red Cross Training Services, Advanced Medical Certification, or ACLS Certification Institute.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Ability to credential through Renowns Medical Staff andcredentialing, as applicable.
