Corewell Health South is seeking a full-time Hospitalist to join our team in Southwest Michigan. Desire candidates who are patient-centered and team-oriented. Prefer board eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine.
The Hospitalist Team provides 24/7 inpatient coverage at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph and Corewell Health Niles Hospital. Block-style schedule with providers rotating seven (7) consecutive days on followed by seven (7) days off. Shifts are from 8:00am to 8:00pm, and 8:00pm to 8:00am. Epic electronic health record is used for documentation.
Team includes adult medicine physicians and advanced practitioners, including dedicated nocturnists. Procedures available but not required. No intubation or vent management. Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital has a closed, 18-bed ICU and 12-bed progressive care unit with 24/7 intensivist coverage. A variety of sub-specialists available for referrals and collaboration opportunities on patient care.
Corewell Health South is a teaching hospital offering residencies in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. We also host 3rd and 4th year medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
