TidalHealth, in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking a BE/BC Interventional Radiologist as our medical director to join its growing practice serving our 288-bed tertiary care hospital. TidalHealth offers a full range of services, including neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, joint replacement, emergency/trauma care, comprehensive cancer care, wound care clinical trials and research. 
 

The role of a Medical Director of Interventional Radiology is both critical and multifaceted. This position generally involves overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the interventional radiology (IR) department within a healthcare organization. Here are some key responsibilities and aspects associated with the role:

Clinical Oversight:

Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for the interventional radiology team, including radiologists, nurses, and other support staff. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procedures meet the highest standards of care and adhere to safety protocols. Monitor and improve the quality of patient care and outcomes. Clinical Expertise: Serve as a clinical expert in interventional radiology, offering guidance and consultation for complex cases.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree: An MD or DO, with specialized training in interventional radiology. Board Certification: Board certification in interventional radiology or a related field. Experience: Experience in interventional radiology, often including prior leadership or administrative roles. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that the interventional radiology department not only meets but exceeds standards of care while remaining efficient and innovative.
