Physician (MD/DO)– Per Diem Gloucester, MA (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=302+Washington+Street+Gloucester+MA+USA+01930) Description The Primary Purpose of Position Under the general direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the direct supervision of the Medical Director, the Per Diem Physician (MD/DO), in collaboration with the physician(s) on the team, will provide continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages and genders. The Per Diem Physician is expected to function as integral part of the Primary Care Team (PCT), sometimes as a leader and sometimes as engaged member. Requirements · Must be board certified as an MD or DO, with a current Massachusetts licensure. · Must possess and maintain, or be eligible for, Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration · Two plus years of experience in community or ambulatory care. Preference will be given to bilingual/bicultural individuals who are Spanish or Portuguese. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with commitment to establishing a safe and respectful environment for team members · Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment as part of a team · High level of commitment for comprehensive and quality health care · Excellent communication and organization skills with attention to detail As a health center, NSCH ensures that all employees comply with the annual requirements for vaccinations and health screenings.
