Mercy Hospital – Springfield Emergency Medicine Medical Director Opportunity Mercy Hospital - Springfield is recruiting a medical director emergency medicine physician! A minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience is preferred. We are a stable, hospital-employed group of approximately 40 emergency physicians. Mercy Springfield is one of the busiest and largest emergency departments in the Midwest with around 90,000 annual visits, level I trauma for both Missouri and Arkansas, and comprehensive, tertiary healthcare services for a three-hour radius and over 1.5M lives. This opportunity will be a 50/50 mix of administrative and clinical. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with nursing staff, hospital leadership, and consulting services to drive excellence in clinical operations. Facilitate the execution of hospital and departmental quality initiatives, patient satisfaction measures, and operational goals. Lead, design, and implement strategies aimed at improving processes and optimizing care delivery within the ED. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among clinical staff and operational teams. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and shared objectives.
