Hospital-based Neonatology practice is seeking to add a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine physician due to growth. The NICU is a level III-B by the AAP classification.  Annual admissions of 400-500 infants with ~10% transfers.  Very low birth weight infants account for ~25% of admissions.  Average inpatient census is 30 with a range of 22-45.  Provide all types of surgeries including PDA ligation but excluding CHD and ECMO.  In addition to the neonatologists, the NICU is staffed by pediatric residents and neonatal nurse practitioners.

Full time position    MD/DO Provide level II service at affiliated hospitals   Clinical duties, weekdays and weekends on-call, monthly assignments to different acuity services are shared throughout the year

Candidates must be BC/BE in specialty and meet the requirements for medical licensure to practice in Michigan.  Experience with iNO, Total Body Cooling, and HFOV is required.
