Physician Office Clinical RN, McLeod Pulmonary and Critical Care

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-

workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

2. Access the needs of patients based on data collected through history observation physical exam telephone triage and

analysis of diagnostic data.

3. Take lead in growing and facilitating the Pulmonary Nodule Clinic.

4. Performs direct patient care ie: triage, assessment, procedures, treatment, patient education, discharge and follow up

instructions.

5. Possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to nursing

6. Assists as needed with hospital rounds.

7. Completes chart preparation for each patient’s office visit to include patient’s history, test completion, and medication

reconciliation. Completes documentation and assessment at end of visit to include follow visit and testing.

8. Provides telephone triage for patients. Expected to return calls to patient within 24 hours.

9. Performs other duties as necessary while providing high quality patient care.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications /Training:

one year experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Must meet all the applicable state requirements governing the qualifications for a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of South Carolina Must have and maintain ACLS and BLS certification (ACLS must be completed within 6 month of hire date)
