Physician Office Supervisor, Centralized Services

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Demonstrates proficiency in using EMR and office equipment/systems.  Ensures a teamwork environment by continually assessing the work environment through staff rounds,

     huddles, education and other meetings. 

This position carries supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable

     laws. 

Responsible for daily operations, including staff schedules, payroll, productivity and financial reports.  Models proper telephone etiquette when receiving and transferring calls; speaks clearly and

     concisely.  Exercises tact and diplomacy. 

Maintains confidentiality in talking with patients, upholding policies and setting an example and handles

     customer complaints as appropriate. 

Responsible for HR issues, including hiring, competency evaluations, ongoing performance 

     reviews.  Corrective actions using PEP process with support of Practice Administrator. 

10. Participate in strategic planning, process improvement, goal setting and monitoring. 

11. Performs primarily outgoing referrals in EPIC and related authorizations according to Mcleod Health

      guidelines. 

12. Accountable for timeliness of processing STAT and Urgent referrals according to respective policies. 

Communicates timely with patients of provider teams.  Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications /Training:

Individual must be able to perform basic clerical functions and in addition, the ability to comprehend medical terminology.  Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school.
