Position Description:

The Psychiatrist Out-Patient is responsible for providing professional medical services and will assess and monitor a patient’s ongoing psychiatric needs.

This will include general psychiatry/ consulting services with primary care and behavioral health integrations.  The position allow for a hybrid option for telemedicine and in-person services. 

Job Requirements: 

Must have a current, valid, unrestricted Physician license in the state of New York throughout employment.  Must attain and maintain active staff membership and clinical privileges appropriate to duties and responsibilities.  Must hold and maintain current, valid and unrestricted federal and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances.  Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry is required. Subspecialty Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is preferred but not required. Act as the psychiatric consultant within the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model, supported by nurse behavioral health care coordinators. Advise primary care providers in developing medical care plans for patients with mental health diagnoses and recommend adjustments, as necessary. Regularly review the patients participating in the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model as presented by the behavioral health care managers and by reviewing the medical record. Advise the behavioral health care managers and primary care providers on adherence and tolerance of behavioral health treatments or negative interactions between visits.

Pay Range: $200,000 - $300,000/annually DOE
