Description:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Provider Services, the Physician Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of physicians for Loyola University Health System. This position advises and collaborates with leadership within the organization with regard to physician recruitment, sourcing and hiring strategies.

Position responsibilities:

Advise and strategize with physician and administrative leadership regrading sourcing, recruitment, candidate interview and hiring processes for faculty in the Loyola University Health System.Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including sourcing, nation/local/internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials and website development and maintenance. Develop and maintain the provider on-line application system and process.Manage all aspects of physician recruitment, including screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussion opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match, presenting candidates to LUMC, GMH and MNH leadership for employment consideration; preparation of itinerary and interview site visit processes; follow up with candidate and department to determine continued interest; facilitate post-hiring/onboarding processes with LUMC, GMH and MNH.Maintain working knowledge of industry trends in physician recruitment, retention and compensation. This may include attending national and local medical conferences, planning and attending resident recruitment activities and events; networking with local and national colleagues through the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR), the Academic In-House Recruiters (AIR) and the Illinois Staff Physician Recruiters Association (ISPR).

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.1-2 years of previous job-related experience; 3-5 years preferred.Travel between sites.
