Physician-Scientist Position in Infectious Diseases 2024-2025

The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA seeks a physician-scientist for a full-time position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor ranks commensurate with experience. Candidates must have a developed or developing research program, a record of clinical excellence, in addition to proven teaching abilities. His/her/their research focus should be translational with an emphasis on infectious diseases processes. Priority areas of interest include transplantation related issues, virology, bacterial resistance, mycology, emerging infectious diseases or tuberculosis. Rich opportunities are available for cooperative research with UCLA scientists in many disciplines. Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D., Ph.D. and be board certified in Infectious Diseases and licensed or licensable to practice medicine in the state of California.

The salary range for this position is $155,700-$411,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf] , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
