West Pavilion Internal Medicine is seeking an Internist with interest in leadership to join their busy practice as Section Chief. The highly diverse patient population is well cared for by a team of providers. You will join Internists, Family Medicine Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, RN Care Managers, LMSW Social Workers, Pharmacy, and a team of highly functioning support staff.
In the role of Section Chief, you will be responsible for maintaining communication between the providers and the upper leadership of Primary Health, working with your dyad (practice manager) in decision making for the practice, and providing guidance and mentorship for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
To provide the best patient care, the office is open extended hours providing a flexible schedule. Call is supported by a first line nurse triage system, making home call extremely manageable. Lab and imaging are conveniently located within the building.
Position Expectations:
Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients.Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and always ensures coverage of case load.Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.Acts as a patient advocate.Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.Benefits:
