Physician - Urologist - Program Director

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Urology Residency Program, including curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and resident mentoring. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure the program meets ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) standards and maintain accreditation through regular evaluations and documentation. Educational Oversight: Develop and implement a comprehensive educational curriculum that includes didactic, clinical, and research components. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Resident Supervision: Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of residents. Provide guidance and support to residents in their clinical and professional development. Faculty Development: Mentor and support faculty members in their teaching roles and professional growth. Facilitate ongoing faculty development programs. Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, hospital administration, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to resident education and patient care. Research and Innovation: Promote and support research initiatives within the program. Encourage resident involvement in scholarly activities and clinical research.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution. Board Certification: Board-certified in Urology. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical and educational experience in Urology, with previous leadership experience preferred. Leadership Skills: Proven track record of effective program management, team leadership, and administrative skills. Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to Education: Demonstrated commitment to residency education, including mentorship and professional development.
