The picture publicity department at Paramount is responsible for creating, commissioning, collating and supplying all 5 programme publicity photography and key art including press, marketing, social and other internal departments. In short, supporting our programming with great imagery anywhere that imagery is required and showcasing our programming in its best light.
We are a dynamic and upbeat team and sit at the heart of what 5 is all about – great TV. This role is a key position within the 5 pictures team and requires someone with a solid knowledge of broadcasting to continue building on the channel’s success. You will have a strong interest and knowledge of Commercial TV as well as proven knowledge of and curiosity about the biggest shows on 5 and the family of channels. We all love television and are looking for someone who shares this passion.
What will you be doing?
Liaising with the press office, marketing and creative in the research and commissioning of photography for specific programme titles. Dealing with requests for pictures from both internal departments such as the press office and all press and news outlets including newspapers, magazines, websites and listings publications. Weekly update of the Paramount press and publicity website with all required imagery for week to press. Loading and captioning all publicity images into a digital asset management system. Producing specific material for uses such as our streaming platform or social media channels. Liaising with production companies and distributors to commission and access photography for all our programming. Collaborating with our marcomms and creative teams to generate and produce key art for programming.
What we are looking for?
Experience of commissioning photography with an excellent network of photography and retouching contacts. Experience of working to tight and immovable deadlines. Able to work with software such as Photo Shop. Creative problem solver who has a strong track record in coming up with strong ideas for pictures. Good relationship with picture editors across different media. Used to working in a cross functional team including other fields such as creative, social, marketing and press. Technical knowledge of photography. Willing to travel for shoots. Knowledge of the television industry and a passion for television. Possessing an imaginative approach to picture publicity campaigns. Ability to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to build positive relationships with senior stakeholders, to create trust and an ability to challenge when necessary. Working with a self-starting approach, taking the initiative to identify ideas/projects/improvements before being given direction. Art qualification or similar #LI-RE1
