The FJ900, Inc. Pilot is responsible for operating assigned aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturer’s / company checklists, the FAA MMEL, and within all OEM specified aircraft limitations.
This position is part of the FJ 900 Inc. Aviation team and will be located in Bozeman, Montana.
In this role, you will have the responsibility to:
+ Ensure compliance with all Customs, Immigration, and Cabotage laws associated with the intended flights. Complete the Pre, Enroute, and Post-flight checklists as prescribed by FJ900 policy. Ensure that adequate aircraft security measures are observed when away from home base as prescribed by FJ900 policy.
+ Immediately report all known or suspected FAA violations or incidents to the Aviation Manager. Assume any non-flight related duties as assigned by the Aviation Manager and or Chief Pilot. Ensure that the aircraft is airworthy, and all required documentation is onboard prior to all departures.
+ Identify and notify FJ900 management as to any significant health risks at destination or enroute airports. Check weather reports, applicable NOTAMs, and TFRs at the departure and destination airports and on the enroute flight planned routing as required by FAR’s, CFR’s, and FJ900 company policy.
+ Determine and ensure that the required fuel, oil, oxygen, and any other operational requirements are within specified limits dictated by FARs, the AFM, destination CFRs, applicable State regulations, and by FJ900 policy. Ensure that airport minimum requirements are met with respect to runway and taxiway widths, lengths and weight bearing capacity.
+ Calculate and confirm that aircraft performance and weight & balance are within prescribed operating limits for the departure, enroute and destination phases of flight. Ensure that all applicable databases and publications (paper and/or electronic versions) are current per the prescribed effectivity dates.
+ Ensure that aircraft iPads are updated as required and are adequately charged for the assigned flight, per FJ900 policy. Ensure that all Flight Planning requirements have been met with respect to the intended operational locations, per FJ900 policy. Ensure that aircraft crewmembers have valid Airman Certificates, Medical Certificates, Passports, and any required visas and or COVID-19 vaccination certificates, for the intended destinations.
+ Ensure that the Company Trip Sheet, Itinerary, and Calendar are in-sync prior to trip dispatch, and notify the FJ900 Dispatch office with any inconsistencies. Ensure that the FJ900 Pre-flight, SMS Flight Risk Assessment (FRAT) and the Pre / Postflight Company Checklists are complete prior to and following all flights, as required.
+ Confirm awareness of and notifies the flight crew of any nonstandard local environmental rules and or procedures which may exist at destination and at the enroute airports. Complete the company prescribed Preflight and Post-flight inspections prior to all departures and after all arrivals, as prescribed by FJ900 policy. Provide the Passenger Safety Briefing to all unfamiliar passengers.
+ Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights, per FJ900 specified procedures and as required by the destination local aviation regulations and or any international regulations (CFR’s), as may be applicable. Ensure good passenger and crew relations during the assigned flights. Coordinate and oversee crewmember responsibilities and duties for the assigned aircraft and applicable flight. Notify the Aviation Manager and the Scheduling Department of any changes to, or deviations from the original flight itinerary and or the passenger manifest.
+ Comply with the company Safety Management System and perform individual Flight Risk Assessments utilizing FJ900’s Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT), prior to all trip legs.
+ The Trip Captain (Pilot-In-Command) will not be subject to coercion by any company personnel or trip passengers. Good judgment and Pilot-In-Command decision making shall prevail when non-normal operations require deviations from normal operating procedures.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ US citizen; holds an FAA issued Multi-engine ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certification.
+ Holds a Global Express Type Rating and is current in the Global 6000 or 6500 aircraft and the ‘Vision’ type cockpit for the aircraft to be flown.
+ Holds an FAA First Class Medical (good for one year – automatically reverts to Second Class after six months).
+ 6,000 hours minimum of multi-engine total flight time.
+ 4,000 hours minimum of multi-engine jet time.
+ 1,000 hours minimum in Global Express Type.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Must be able to regularly travel according to flight schedule
The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $285,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
