In this role, you will:
+ Set up and operate equipment to prescribed instructions to perform various unit operations such as reactions, filtrations, distillations, drying, milling, etc on raw materials and various stages of chemical processing.
+ Follow and document per batch sheet instructions to produce products according to all current Good Manufacturing Procedure guidelines as required.
+ Support all facets of the Pilot Plant to include assisting the Shift Supervisors with special project needs, production support activities, SAP entries, etc.
+ Support the Chemical Research and Development group for kilo lab operations as needed.
+ Operate with good housekeeping practices and maintain the Pilot Plant in accordance with cGMP regulations (cleaning validation, equipment logs, etc.)
Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
Required
+ High school diploma/GED
+ Shift work required which will include weekends and/or holidays
+ Ability to work 12 hour shift assignments, day and night shift
+ Must be able to work overtime
+ Ability to wear a respirator & other forms of PPE
+ Excellent reading & comprehension skills
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Preferred
+ Bachelors degree in Chemistry with previous experience in Pilot Plant or chemical operations or combination of education and experience
+ Mechanical aptitude/experience helpful
+ Advanced Math skills
+ Oral and written communication skills
+ Team player and able to work with changing priorities with excellent time management skills
+ Previous operating experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
