PIM Specialist

As the PIM Specialist, you will be responsible for all product data & information that assists in driving sales for the organization. This position will act as a leader by continuously assessing and standing up new processes and capabilities into the PIM (InRiver). The position is responsible for driving change management and documenting SOPs for all things product content and data. You will actively engage with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of and improvement of product content, delivery channels, data quality, and governance with an eye to developing processes for use of eCommerce, Marketing and Sales. This position can be remote.

Responsibilities:

Acquire and manage the development of rich product content that allows the organization to merchandise products to eCommerce, printed catalog, product syndication, etc. Final approval for all data being put into the PIM Development of rich product attributes and standards for rich content. This includes but is not limited to creative product descriptions, images, video content, taxonomies, etc. Manage rich product information with our Product Information Management (PIM) system, the management system which includes creative content that expands product-related attributes. Management and interface with internal and external customers in the development and expansion of extended product information. Conduct regular audits of PIM and brands for digital content to identify and address any inconsistencies, errors or gaps. Execution of content syndication efforts to meet internal and external customer requirements. Serve as functional adviser, trainer and problem solver to optimize the data model and capabilities of the PIM solution. Perform technical duties of system administrator for the InRiver solution. Successfully gather requirements to determine and establish data owner roles, workflows, and queries within the system to support the establishment and enrichment of Product Data in the PIM solution. Maintain digital content tracker, metrics and scorecards for each vendor, monitoring the content performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. This position requires collaboration with marketing, eCommerce, category management and Sales to ensure product information is accurate and enriched. Respond to both internal and external requests for product-related data and assist with the prioritization efforts. Proactively work with sales, with an understanding of data impact and data transformation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor’s content management teams to facilitate smooth content uploads and updates. Edit product listings via spreadsheets, import and manual processes in a database environment. Ability to manipulate data via Excel to formulate and simplify large amounts of data. SQL skills a plus. Create and Merchandise content through enrichment processes and best practices. Own and manage, by category, all things product content, content experience and content reporting. Report on platform performance, best practices, and impact of platform to direct managers and main stakeholders.

 

Requirements/Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Technology/Management, Data Science, or Business related field preferred; High school diploma required Minimum of 2+ years PIM/ECommerce experience preferred Demonstrated expertise in understanding workflows and business processes, identifying issues, and providing solutions utilizing PIM/ERP technologies Experience leading multiple internal and external stakeholders and aligning multiple viewpoints into a unified vision and roadmap Strong business analysis, project management, & communication skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to convey complex data models in an understandable manner to non-technical levels Subject matter expert on content governance, management, and delivery Strategic and analytical thinking and root cause analysis problem solving skills 1WorldSync experience Syndication GS1 Knowledge InRiver experience Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and CMS Ability to travel, if needed, up to approximately 4 times per year
