As aPersonal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation representative on our Claims team, you'll have a crucial role in ensuring the claims process runs efficiently for our customers. In this role, you'll resolve payment disputes on personal injury claims, such as denied medical services. Along with evaluating medical reports, you'll prepare written documentation to bring successful resolution to claims.
This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.
Duties Responsibilities
Develop and document strategy for dispute resolution.Review arbitration requests and lawsuits to determine actions warranted.Consults and negotiates with legal counsel – in house and external.Documents and forwards hearing notices.Review and respond to defense bills, settlement terms and other communication.Must-have qualifications
Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR,One year in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR,Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree.Compensation
Commensurate with experience, salary range depends on office location.Plymouth Sterling Heights: $69,600 - $85,100/ year.Lansing, Kalamazoo, Saginaw, Grandville: $59,800 - $77,400/ year.Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.Benefits
