**Job Title: Pipe Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding a variety of metal surfaces or pipes using various types of welding equipment. You will weld shell plating, fabricated cast, or forged components according to specifications for vessels, tanks, or other structural assemblies. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up tools, welding equipment, and supplies at job site.
+ Burn pipe or penetrations.
+ Tack and weld pipe.
+ Clean weld area, sweep, and remove scrap.
+ Perform other related tasks relevant to the trade.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in 6G welding, Flux core, MIG, and Stick welding.
+ Experience with structural welding, pipe welding, and fabrication.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Knowledge of copper nickel and steel welding.
+ Proficient in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal ARC, SMAW, Flux-Core, TIG welding, and Air Arc skills.
+ Minimum of three years of welding experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must pass weld plate test in all positions and pipe test on 6G restricted fix position using FCAW and GTAW processes.
+ Certification to operate high-reaching equipment.
+ Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
+ Availability to work any shift.
+ Ability to hear warning signals and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings.

**Work Environment**
You will be part of a team that uses advanced welding machinery, ventilation hose, tool bag, ladder, grinders, mini grid, burning leads, cutting torches, chipping hammers, welding stingers, and personal protective equipment. Be prepared to work in various conditions, including at heights and in confined spaces.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
