BECOME A WELDER/FABRICATOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT!

Our Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components, performing repairs, and supporting construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of various welding techniques, as well as the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. You will work in a fast-paced environment where precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards are crucial.

 

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A WELDER/FABRICATOR

Perform welding and fabrication tasks: Execute various welding techniques for repair and construction projects within the airport Read and interpret blueprints and drawings: Understand technical documents to accurately fabricate and assemble structures Maintain and repair airport equipment and structures: Work on a wide range of airport assets, including vehicles, machinery, and infrastructure Use a variety of welding equipment: Operate TIG, MIG, and other welding apparatus proficiently Adhere to safety and quality standards: Ensure all welding activities meet safety regulations and quality specifications Measure and cut materials accurately: Use precision tools to prepare components for welding and assembly Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams: Work alongside other professionals to complete complex projects Conduct inspections and tests on welded surfaces: Check welds for durability, strength, and compliance with standards Customize metal parts for specific applications: Fabricate unique components as per operational requirements Keep welding equipment and tools in good condition: Manage the upkeep and proper functioning of welding gear Stay updated with the latest welding techniques and technologies: Continuously learn and adapt to advancements in welding practices Provide technical advice on welding and fabrication: Offer insights and recommendations for various projects and repairs Manage inventory of welding supplies and materials: Keep track of necessary resources and order replacements as needed Participate in safety training and certification programs: Engage in ongoing education to maintain relevant welding certifications and safety knowledge Document and report on welding activities: Maintain records of work done, including details of repairs and fabrications Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety May be assigned other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age or older Eligible to work in the United States Aviation experience preferred Pipe welding experience preferred Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding is preferred Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents  Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices  Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means Pass a background check and drug screen  Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
