Job Title: Pipefitter/Welder 1/C
Overview:
As a Pipefitter/Welder at Arkema’s Calvert City plant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our production facilities. You’ll work with pipes, fittings, process and welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Pipe Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, and fittings according to specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of piping systems. Welding: Perform welding tasks using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick welding). Weld pipes, joints, and structural components to meet safety and quality standards. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Translate design specifications into practical pipefitting and welding tasks. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly. Quality Assurance: Ensure welds meet quality standards (e.g., no leaks, proper penetration). Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with specifications. Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and supervisors. Communicate effectively to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a pipefitter or welder is essential (5 years or more). Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., welding certifications) is preferred. Skills: Proficiency in pipefitting techniques and welding processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
