Role Overview: Pipelayer As a Pipelayer at United Infrastructure Group (UIG), you will be an essential member of the drainage crew, responsible for installing and maintaining pipe systems for water, sewage, and drainage. This skilled craft position involves various duties, from assisting with setting lasers to performing general labor tasks on the pipe crew. Your role requires teamwork, the ability to read and understand plans, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Typical Duties include but are not limited to: + Assist lead person with setting laser + Read and understand plans + General labor duties on pipe crew + Assist lead person with Installing RCP water and sanitary pipe + Mud and cut pipe + Able to multi-task and work as a team member + Prep pipe + Perform layout + Instruction of drainage pipe structure + Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts + Maintain hand and power tools. + Dig holes or trenches. + Operate pumps or compressors. + Clean or prepare construction sites for work activities and to eliminate possible hazards. + Gather and distribute supplies and tools on the jobsite. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: + Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and forms of lines, figures, and objects. + Respond quickly to supervision directions. + Must observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management. + Must follow policies and procedures and support UIG’s Mission. + Experience in construction preferred.
