Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated Intern. The Intern will be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Engineering Team in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department’s projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.

Position Summary/Learning Objectives:

Understand and Apply Piping Design StandardsFamiliarize with Piping Systems and ComponentsUnderstand Piping Codes, Standards, and RegulationsUnderstand Layout concepts

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand different materials used on company products & assists an Engineer to perform material detailingLearn to review Piping Design Drawings such as Isometrics & GAS & assist an Engineer on project.Perform Piping Thickness calculations for Internal & External pressures.Team Collaboration and LearningLearn & apply Piping stress analysis concepts & apply the same on dummy project.

Education and Experience

BE/BTech  – Mechanical -  Fresher.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solvingComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality

Estimated Base Salary Range:

$21.00 - $25.00
