Job Title: Piping SuperintendentJob Description As a Piping/Utilities Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily tasks on utility projects, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will manage a team, oversee project schedules, and emphasize safety and compliance on all sites. Responsibilities + Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary for weather, supply, delivery, and personnel changes. + Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors. + Recruit, hire, train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors. + Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs. + Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures. + Develop and manage project budgets and quality standards for all sites. + Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably. + Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5 years supervising installation of pipe and culvert on heavy civil projects. + Experience as a piping superintendent, specifically on utility projects. + Strong supervisory skills in utility construction and heavy civil projects. + Proficiency in water, sewer, force main, and pipe installation. + Outstanding organizational and time management skills. + Excellent management and leadership skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Current OSHA 30 or greater certification is a plus. Work Environment This role is on-site at various project locations.
