The Digital Certificates organisation is part of the Digital Trust Solutions Organisation within Cybersecurity in Airbus Digital. Our department is responsible for the Airbus Public Key Infrastructures (PKI) providing services to Airbus employees worldwide, as well as suppliers and customers.

What you will be doing:
As a Cybersecurity Architect specialised in PKI, you will work as part of the technical team supporting our products in a range of technical activities.
As a PKI Architect, you will collaborate closely with our Lead PKI Architect to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable Public Key Infrastructure solutions for our diverse client base. This role requires a profound understanding of cryptography, security protocols, and industry best practices. You will be instrumental in shaping the security landscape for critical systems across various sectors.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Design and implementation of the current and future PKI systems architecture ensuring the delivery of enterprise-grade PKI solutions.
Coordination, implementation and validation of the technical activities performed by ongoing and future PKI projects.
Manage and enhance the security of our infrastructure, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Collaborate internally with other PKI team members focused on Build and RUN activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, develop strategies, and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
Stay up to date with the latest PKI trends, encryption and security.
Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify security gaps and recommend remediation actions.
Implement and manage Certificate Authorities (CAs)
Technologies trends monitoring and sharing knowledge with the team (Information & Knowledge management)
Being the link between IT governance, innovative solutions and new initiatives (inside/outside airbus)
Provide guidance and support to IT teams and end-users on encryption and PKI best practices.
Support incident response efforts, including investigating and resolving incidents in a timely manner.
Conduct regular assessments and support audits to identify security and regulatory infringement gaps and recommend remediation actions.
This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. Approximately 3 times per year.

Qualification & Experience
Graduate/Post Graduate with 5+ years of experience in IT Security, Cyber or equivalent field.
Solid experience in PKI architecture design and implementation.
Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies, including EPP, EDR, Encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.
In-depth knowledge of cryptographic protocols and standards (e.g., X.509, PKCS, TLS)
Experience with PKI software such as Microsoft CA, OpenSSL, or EJBCA
Strong understanding of HSMs and key management practices.
Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and their security implications.
Excellent understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SPEC42ISO 27001, GDPR).
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly desirable.
Experience in security advisory or consulting roles is a plus.
