As the IT Planning Application Owner, you will be responsible for Medtronic’s Global Supply Chain Planning application(s) maintenance, support and enhancement initiatives as well as IT operations for run the business activities to ensure achievement of our vision. The IT Planning Application Owner (ITPAO) is accountable for the Application Management of the Supply Chain Planning applications including integrations and interfaces and continuous improvement. The IPTAO ensures the application(s) are enhanced and maintained in accordance to Medtronic's Security Risk and Compliance requirements. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties as assigned: + Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology systems and functions supporting Medtronic business processes and technical information systems platforms. + Conduct analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. + Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company's data, tools and information systems. + Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. + Subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. + Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. + Manage change management processes for all systems and processes in scope. + Own the translation of functional requirements to technical deliverables + Responsible for Platform support and problem resolution, operational excellence monitoring and reporting + Lead engagement of applicable solution/service providers and cross-functional teams. **PEOPLE MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONAL CAREER STREAM:** + Manage, select, develop, and evaluate personnel including external partners and resources to ensure the efficient operations of the functions and scope. + Levels within the management career stream typically have six or more direct reports. + Responsible for the performance management, staff development, driving engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational initiatives, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports and partner resources in scope. + Collaborate with IBP and Planning COEs to ensure solutioning supports world class IBP. + Goal achievement is through individual performance combined with performance of direct and / or indirect reports in meeting Medtronic business plan targets. + A key responsibility of roles in this career stream is managing people, which includes: accountability for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives, providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of departmental level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals. **DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS** + Autonomy: + Manages team(s) or small unit that includes multiple teams in scope. + Provides motivational leadership for the area managed. + Provides thought and technical leadership. Ensures work is accomplished with minimal direction. + Organizational Impact: + Collaborates with IT Planning Team Leadership in the development of the strategy for department or business area, ensuring links to the company’s aims and objectives. + Innovation and Complexity: + Drive innovation across the business area, encouraging best practice and knowledge sharing. + Identify areas of improvement with team, partners and peers. + Systems: + Advanced Planning Systems Implementation and Run the Business experience >=8 yrs (prefer Blue Yonder) + ERP systems interface building, maintenance and integrations optimization + Webmethods, Snowflake, SAP APO/PPDS/GATP or similar experience >=6 yrs + ERP systems experience related to Supply Chain Planning >=10 yrs + MS Suite and data analytics advanced capability >=5 yrs + Supply Chain Planning: + IBP/S&OP Implementations and/or experience and SME >=5 yrs + Demand, Supply and Inventory Management experience >=10 yrs Collaborate with the IT Supply Chain Planning Leader partnering with business owners to accomplish roadmap in support of the SC Planning Digital Transformation strategy and vision. This Sr. Manager is accountable for the successful deployment of the IT Planning strategy and roadmap, including applications, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and people/partners in scope for the Supply Chain Planning Application Portfolio. + Collaborate with IT Supply Chain Planning leader to: + Develop business case proposals, financial investment forecasts, and annual business budget plans. + Develop and execute against the SC Plan Digital Transformation IT strategy and roadmap. + Establish and ensure communications relevant to stakeholders. + Manage end-to-end cost and performance of projects and initiatives in scope. + Perform duties as technology subject-matter expert to elicit and translate high level business needs into technological solutions so the portfolio of IT solutions aligns with business priorities and objectives. + Subject matter expert (SME) for the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of different projects to build best in class architecture. + SME for Solution Development & Run teams to perform against deliverables, schedules, quality and SLA’s. + Engage in project reviews to analyze portfolio level metrics, and review progress, resolve dependencies and risks, review capacity allocations, identify opportunities for continuous improvement. + Promote and develop IT industry best practices across product life cycle, including but not limited to code quality, code reviews, configuration management, configuration over customization, testing, release management, etc. + Proactively define and monitor performance and KPIs, drive continues improvement and lean six-sigma mindset to identify and eliminate true root-cause of issues. **MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)** + 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of experience with an advanced degree + 7+ years of managerial experience **NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)** + Demonstrated experience and accountability for IT Supply Chain Advanced Planning systems experience. + Project leadership for execution with build and run team management & collaboration. + Strong experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, advanced planning system (APS), analytics and their interactions in the support and management of supply chain processes, operations, and master data. + Experience with Blue Yonder Planning Solutions, SAP and Anaplan (Preferred) + Good interpersonal and presentation skills. + Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods. + High level of technical aptitude, requirements management, and ability to assess and articulate risk variables. + Proven track record delivering exceptional IT results/outcomes, leveraging SDLC. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  **Benefits & Compensation** **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
