Planer Mill Supervisor
Corinth, MS Area
Shift: Willing to work days, nights and weekends as necessary.

Required Competencies:

Lift 50 lbs and work at heights when needed in hot and cold temperatures Must be an experienced a minimum of 2 years of lumber manufacturing, or 5 years of other heavy production industries Must be an experienced supervisor to lead production crews of 10-20 team members processing lumber into finished packages. Be able to communicate effectively with other team members to achieve safety and production requirements. Previous experience working in a heavy production environment Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word

Duties/Responsibilities:

Physical labor, machinery operation, and adherence to safety protocols Requires strong mechanical aptitude, heavy lifting, and leading by example Learn to use CMMS system effectively to input work orders Oversee staffing for crew and department Manage budgeting

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of lumber manufacturing, or 5 years of other heavy production industries Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience Must have high school, GED, or equivalent Post-secondary education preferred Lumber grading certification is preferred
