POSITION OVERVIEW
The Planner, Maintenance Planning (Electrical) reports directly to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor and is responsible for planning and processing corrective and preventive maintenance work orders, conforming to company standards and world-class best practices as part of an integrated operation, maintenance and reliability team.
The Planner, Maintenance Planning (Electrical) must be collaborative with all stakeholders to aid in maintaining, developing, modifying and continuous improvement of existing work practices. Dedication, sensitivity to safety issues and compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the terminal.
This is a DOT position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Create corrective and preventive maintenance job plans and procedures using vendor manuals, best practices, and other technical information and utilizing Company’s CMMS to its fullest extent. These job plans should identify all required manpower, materials, equipment, and services. Create and update standard maintenance job plans and PMs and maintain the job plan library to ensure improved efficiency of the maintenance activities. Request materials, equipment, and services required to execute the planned jobs. Coordinate with the Procurement department to ensure all materials, equipment, and services are available before the work is ready for scheduling. Work directly with warehouse personnel to ensure the correct parts are available for upcoming tasks. Maintain a high level of standards relating to the safe, environmentally sound, timely and cost-effective planning of maintenance activities. Adhere to established work processes and practices. Ensure compliance with the Control of Work processes, including permitting, isolations and risk identification, as well as other Cheniere’s policies and procedures. Support the goal of 100% regulatory compliance. Support the development and compliance of department’s KPIs. Support the maintenance department’s equipment reliability and availability targets. Drive continuous improvement in planning maintenance work. Provide guidance and recommendations for improving planning and scheduling procedures. Work with departmental Technicians, Supervisors, and Managers to expeditiously resolve problems to improve systems and processes for reliable data acquisition. Support the successful execution of outages and plant turnarounds. Attend all scheduled training and support training and the onboard process for new employees. Comply with all regulatory and Company training requirements. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge:
Possess extensive knowledge of equipment repair practices, procedures and time requirements for accurate job planning. Must possess the ability to research and identify the correct materials and procedures for both Preventive and Corrective work orders. Must possess the ability to read and interpret P&IDs, One line, Three Lines , Distribution , Instrument Loop Diagrams and Electrical Equipment Specifications. Possess basic knowledge of safe work practices, governmental regulations and related technical and safety codes, standards, and reporting requirements. Knowledgeable of plant rules, guidelines, and policies regarding relevant equipment operations and certification requirements. Planner must have a proficient understanding of CMMS systems, including its integration with inventory, purchasing, budgeting and accounting practices, Maximo is a plus.
Skills:
Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and plan repairs to plant equipment 120v – 13.8kv including ordering all repair parts, identifying specialized tools and equipment while accurately estimating manpower requirements to complete task. Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining quality work. An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment. Dedication to compliance with policies and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the terminal. Ability to follow directions and quickly formulate and effectively communicate questions if clarification of an assignment is required. Ability to apply existing skills in new roles and or environments. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communications skills. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite, and an aptitude for learning new software applications and systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Certifications High School diploma or equivalent is required. Formal education in related technical or engineering discipline is desirable.Experience : A minimum of 5 years field experience in respective craft. A senior craftsman is preferred. Formal education and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with personal characteristics of integrity, accountability, and dependability are also required. At least 2 years’ experience with CMMS is required. Experience with Maximo CMMS is highly desirable. Oracle eAM, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel is desirable.

The Planner, Maintenance Planning (Electrical) requires supervision but must also use sound judgment and make good decisions.
WORK CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write. Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), climb vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height, and lift and move objects weighting up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year-round weather conditions in an ocean environment, noise, and other conditions normal to his industry. There is a considerable number of outdoor activities involved. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Subject to random drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere. Required to obtain mandated certification by attending Company sponsored training. This may include, but not limited to, basic first aid, CPR, and LNG Fire Fighting. Incumbent may be required to work outside normal working hours based on the needs of the facility. Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card issued by the Transportation Security Administration and must maintain good standing status.
