Responsible for managing inventory, planning, and scheduling to maintain optimal stock levels for key clients. This role involves collaborating closely with customers, as well as the Quality and Production departments, to ensure commitments to customers are met. Assist in delivering high-quality products on time and within the allocated budget.

ResponsibilitiesFoster strong relationships with customers to ensure timely delivery of services.Communicate regularly with clients about their orders, production progress, parts shortages, shipping timelines, and troubleshooting issues.Open, manage, and close Work Orders promptly.Oversee production scheduling within the factory and prioritize Work Orders to maximize labor efficiency while meeting customer delivery expectations.Coordinate with customers, the Purchasing department, and suppliers to ensure a steady supply of necessary parts to meet production needs.Conduct capacity assessments to support manpower planning and optimize work center allocation.Collaborate with department supervisors to track the status of assigned projects and Work Orders.Review Material Requirements using system tools (e.g., MRP or Reorder Reports).Coordinate with Warehouse, Quality Control, and Production teams to ensure smooth material flow from the materials department to production and shipping, ensuring timely deliveries to customers.Essential SkillsExperience with ERP systems, as well as MRP, JIT, and TQM processes.A 4-year degree or equivalent experience, and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in planning, purchasing, and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in PC software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, production staff, and customers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid grasp of mathematics and the ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in manufacturing, particularly in medical manufacturing, is highly desirable.Experience in other manufacturing industries such as aerospace is also considered.3+ years of relevant experience is acceptable.Basic proficiency in Excel.Adaptable and a team player.Work Environment

The work environment includes the ability to sit or stand for long periods, walk up and down stairs regularly, and cover long distances as needed. The team consists of 3 planners and the VP of Operations. The schedule includes an hour for lunch. The culture is adaptable and team-oriented.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69000.00 - $79000.00/yr.
