Our Company
We are currently recruiting for a Planner to be placed in Arnhem, NL on a 1-year contract, with possibility of extension. For TenneT, we are looking for several Strategic Planners for the Central and North-West regions, depending on the candidate's place of residence and experience. Think of challenging upgrading projects or new construction projects, to which you can make an important contribution. At TenneT, you will work in a driven team of 13 Strategic Planners and a Planning department coordinator. You take control of the planning process: from drawing up transparent and structured schedules to organizing the planning process and making essential project data available. You bring structure to projects and ensure shared awareness within the team. You will be functionally managed by the Department Coordinator Planning and hierarchically by the Lead Planning & Cost.
As a Strategic Planner, you are responsible for developing and monitoring project schedules within complex projects. You will work closely with various disciplines and proactively collect information, asking critical questions and actively contributing to planning workshops.

Responsibilities Responsible for the creation and monitoring of project schedules, retrieving necessary information from various project disciplines and asking critical questions. Initiating and facilitating interactive planning workshops to create a joint project structure. Assessing and testing detailed schedules of internal and external parties, identifying bottlenecks and advising on necessary adjustments. Support of project teams in overall planning and providing insight into dependencies between different activities. Identify deviations in the lead times of critical activities and report on this to the relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with risk managers and various stakeholders to identify planning risks, incorporate them into the system and monitor control measures.
Skills / Qualifications Minimum HBO working and thinking level. At least 5 years of experience in planning complex infrastructure work within technically oriented organizations. This is a must. Demonstrable experience with the use of planning applications, including Primavera P6 - is highly desirable. Experience with upgrading projects in high-voltage connections is necessary. Understanding aspects such as ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and its consequences for the electromagnetic field. Understanding of the need to apply for the Planned Non-Availability (VNB) in good time for the disabling of parts of the route during works. Experience with the dynamic and often ad-hoc nature of upgrading projects, where lead times are shorter (approx. 7 years) compared to new construction projects (approx. 14 years). Able to switch effectively within a multidisciplinary project team and to deal with the dynamics of short-term planning. Excellent command of Dutch is required. And professional level of English.
