About the role

About the role 
The Planner & Scheduler will be responsible for the overall Planning and Scheduling of facility mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control activities. This includes daily, outage and long-term planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities related to vehicles, boilers, turbine/generators, process material handling and balance of plant equipment. The Planner & Scheduler role balances expenditures and operating reliability against maintenance costs, through best practices, while maintaining operational goals for safety, quality and productivity of plant operations.   As a team member of the Maintenance Department, this role reports to the Sr. Maintenance Manager at our Reworld Honolulu plant located in Kapolei. 

Responsibilities: 

Ensures the Maintenance Department is fully prepared to execute work requests from all sources such as scheduled outages, equipment failures, and preventative daily and weekly maintenance schedules, through direct planning action and by working with the procurement team as well as other stakeholders. Provides detailed schedules and unscheduled outage and project reports.  Reviews incoming work requests and determines the most beneficial work plan.  Creates job packages and supplies excellent job instructions, drawings and documentation, pre-staged materials, and job duration estimates.  Ensures proper administrative and material close-out of jobs. Develops and maintains an electronic library of procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s), checklists, drawings, contractor scopes, etc., that can aid future iterations of same or similar jobs.  This library will be made easily transparent and accessible in order to benefit other team members. In conjunction with Storekeepers, verifies parts required for timely completion of scheduled work scopes. Collaborates with Department Managers and Supervisors to support development and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly planned workloads.   Manages the work order backlog in area of responsibility and priority.  Creates mini outages to take advantage of scheduling maintenance jobs for these work orders, correctly classifies and indexes work orders and other relevant data, and corrects inaccuracies and duplicate work orders. Leads outage meetings and discussions to ensure project schedules are progressing. 

Fosters innovation to develop an up-to-date asset reliability plan by utilizing industry best practices, in compliance with Reworld’s directives, for all critical plant equipment and select noncritical equipment.  Establish cost effectiveness and include safety, environmental, production, and total cost of ownership goals that are consist of the following elements: 

Spare parts requirements. Preventive/predictive maintenance (PPM) plan, including detailed task procedures. Active or passive phase-out recommendations where appropriate. Management of master data on assets via closeouts of the company’s Formal Change Notice process and made readily accessible to all relevant employees. Curation of process data, which can and should be trended as part of a Process Parameter Monitoring program, to better measure asset performance issues. 


Position Requirements: 

Previous experience in the power and/or industrial plant maintenance field. 3 years of supervisory experience in plant maintenance field, preferred. Familiarity with computer-based work order/inventory CMMS systems, P6 scheduling software, Primavera, and Microsoft Office (proficient with Microsoft Project) Knowledge of NBIC & ASME codes and scheduling tools required. Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and efficiently with strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to lead complex group meetings.

Shift: 
The Planner & Scheduler starts early each day assembling plant status information from all off going shifts Supervisors. Typical five-day work week and will be required to work durations of outages and projects. 


What Reworld Offers You: 
The expected salary range for this position is $89,321.00 - $111,728.50. The final salary figure will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability, and location. Reworld a is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
