Planner / Buyer (f/m/d)

The Planner Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end Demand & Supply Planning operations for the portfolio of the Pharma and Consumer Health segment.
Required to work in close collaboration with the different manufacturing sites and customers.


The main responsibilities are the following:

Understand the interaction of production scheduling and materials flow to achieve required customer deliveryResponsible for timely and precise raw material purchasing placing orders to suppliers/customers planning to meet production/forecast demandCommunicate with suppliers and production sites, both via phone and e-mail, to ensure on-time delivery lead time accuracyResponsible to monitor production status vs. Supply Plans, anticipating potential issues, setting up priorities in alignment with key stakeholders, setting up contingency plans to ensure on-time and in-full delivery, and identifying root causes in case of delay to continuously mitigate risksAssist in establishing reporting and requirements to advance, delay or cancel previously scheduled materials and coordinate all supplier requirements and action plans with other departmentsIdentify and react to short-term material plans that do not meet customer requirementsMonitors and evaluates supplier performanceResponsible for the life cycle of the purchase ordersResponsible for the Forecast collection from the different customers in scopeMonitors forecasts, and customer orders for unexpected changes and revises plans as requiredAnalyze demand tendencies according to the clients’ forecasts and freeze ordersResponsible for the Replenishment and Supply Planning in line with contractual lead times and product constraintsAnalyze data for inventory support, demand planning, and S&OP processContribute to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the intercompany flows in close alignment with the manufacturing sitesMonitor production status, anticipate potential issues, set up contingency plans to ensure on-time and in full delivery, and identify root causes in case of delay to continuously mitigate risksManage the relationship and performance monitoring with external manufacturersSupport cost reduction, lead time reduction, and inventory reduction programs with suppliers to support company goalsResponsible for the master data accuracy of the businessEnsure compliance to the EU Good Manufacturing / Distribution Practices (GxP) for medicinal products and to the current Swissmedic regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science and 3+ years of Supply Chain Planning experience preferably in the life-science industryGood knowledge of ERP systems SAP or Oracle JDEAPICS certification and/or Lean 6 Sigma certification a plusProactiveTeam playerExtremely collaborativeActive listening skillsAffinity with numbersAnalytical skillsDetail-orientedResult focused & Problem solvingComfortable working under pressureSuperior written and verbal communication
