Who we’re looking for

The Connected Technologies department is actively looking for a highly motivated Planner I to support our Affiliates, OEM and Global partners in the mobile application space.

As a Planner I for our mobile applications, you will be responsible for defining product vision and creating new features and enhancements for Toyota/Lexus App to ensure its success in the market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product that exceeds the expectations of our customers and aligns with the company's strategic goals.

What you’ll be doing

Manage and build business relationships with our affiliates (Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico & Hawaii), Other OEMs, and Global regions (Europe, Australia and India)Partner with affiliates, other OEMs & Global Regions to understand market, business goals and objective and develop a strategic product roadmap to increase business growth and improve overall customer experience.Create the vision, product strategy, strategic plan and road map for Affiliates, Other OEM & Global Regions by working with key stakeholders in the company to deliver on that vision.Build relationships with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) business, technical team and TMC to communicate requirements and specifications, and ensure solutions meet our customer expectations.Help facilitate and drive closure of customer impacting issues affecting Affiliates, other OEMs & Global Regions.Drive customer satisfaction by leading the team to make the customer experience simple, intuitive and consistentWork with Affiliates, other OEMs & Global Regions to develop and homogenize a clear overall product catalog, align on strategic priorities, KPIs, and share information across product and engineering organizationsIdentify opportunities and creates tools / processes to deliver a successful productEstablish goals and metrics to identify opportunities and deliver the productResearch and identify new opportunities for CT to innovate and improve customer satisfaction and Connected Services profitabilityExperience managing product roadmap and developing/managing product backlogProactive, motivated individual who can self-manage and execute once given strategic direction

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; AND/OR equivalent professional work experience.Up to 3 years’ experience in product strategy development or equivalent job experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence and persuade others, and the ability to create and present concepts, business cases, recommendations at all levels, from peers to executives.Experience managing product roadmap and developing/managing product backlog.Proactive, motivated individual who can self-manage and execute once given strategic direction.Experience conducting market research and validating customer needs.An entrepreneurial mindset: not afraid to ask questions, make decisions, or take on new assignments.Ability to manage a wide variety of projects across multiple brands, business units, and/or technology platforms.

Added bonus if you have

Automotive Industry experience.Connected Car or Telematics experience.Mobile App development experience.Internship/Co-op work experience in product management, strategy, consulting, engineering, or other relevant disciplines.Experience working in functional areas such telematics, product management, digital transformation, and emerging technologies and/or relevant industries such as automotive, consulting, or technology.Agile product management or corporate development experience is also a plus.Strong relationship building skills; Demonstrated ability to facilitate and achieve cohesion and among many different individuals and functions.
