Planner II - ASCEND

The Ascend program is an enterprise-driven training initiative tailored to build essential skills within our Operations/Product Realization organization. Ascend aims to standardize onboarding, on-the-job training, and  mentoring across IAS and MST to industry standards and SNC  best practice, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive  development experience. This program is designed to provide our teams with the critical  capabilities needed to excel and innovate, driving  towards greater  efficiency and success. Role-based cohorts; initially the focus will be on one skill  group  with the intent to expand to additional roles.
This program is designed to give you an opportunity to deep dive into various aspects of the enterprise, specifically focusing on gaining a high-level understanding of both Material and Production Planning. The aim is to equip you with comprehensive knowledge of SNC's (Sierra Nevada Company) processes and procedures.
Throughout this program, you will be guided through a series of modules that cover key areas of Material and Production Planning. You will learn about the strategies, tools, and methodologies used within the company to ensure efficient and effective planning. This will include an overview of supply chain management, inventory control, procurement processes, production scheduling, engineering and coordination among different departments.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 2+ years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationExperience with the engineering change processKnowledge of master production planningBasic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsFamiliarity with applicable manufacturing drawingsThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations ManagementFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC)Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SystemsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitaryMinimum of 2 years in a technical role within the company, particularly in areas involving:Assembly or fabrication with direct exposure to SNC drawingsQuality control, inspection, or technician requiring interpretation of engineering specificationsDemonstrated experience in working with engineering drawings, schematics, or technical documentationPerformance and StandingGood Standing: No disciplinary actions within the last 12 months.Performance History: History of meeting or exceeding performance goals, or quality standards in current role.Dependability: Reliable attendance and punctuality. 

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,853.15 - $89,173.08. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
