What You’ll Do

The Planner is responsible to plan, forecast, analyze, and evaluate service parts requirements to support performance in the right location, in correct quantities, on time. You'll be part of a team delivering excellence in parts planning, coupled with projects in innovation to continuously improve the business.

Roles Responsibilities

A Senior Regional Planner at Applied Materials plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic development of regional planning activities. This position involves a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various teams. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning and Development: The Senior Regional Planner is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the organization's goals. This includes creating new processes, tools, data visualization and systems to be used by the planning and operations community.

Service Parts Planning : Demand Forecast, Inventory Control & Management, Ramp, Service Contract Planning are fundamental planning job scopes.

Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with senior managers, technical Experts, and other departments such as FSO, sales, and logistics, the Senior Regional Planner ensures that planning activities are well-coordinated and aligned with business requirements.

Project Management: Managing funded projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and providing technical assistance to member governments.

Performance Tracking and Improvement: Monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of planning activities.

Customer Engagement: Representing the region in the global process, managing exceptions in a structured way, and ensuring that customer needs are met through effective planning and execution.

Technical Expertise: Utilizing system tools to provide sustainable solutions, translating business requirements into actionable plans, and conducting studies on various planning and technical expertise.

Leadership and Development: Leading and mentoring a team of planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

This role requires a combination of analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership abilities to navigate the complexities of regional planning and ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

Semiconductor experience strongly preferred (particularly in Parts, Warranty, or Service).

Thorough functional and transactional knowledge of ERP or supply chain systems (SAP, SPP).

Demonstrated as team leader with high level of accountability to complete organizational objectives. Managerial experience on people management 2+ years is a plus.

Project management skills with successful track record

Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business/Operations, or Supply Chain from accredited university. MBA is a plus.

Six plus years of inventory management, supply planning, material planning, or demand planning experience, including KPI definition, measurement and control.

Excellent Analytical skills. Capable of developing solutions and options based on data driven analysis. Familiar with data analytics software Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python.

Ability to collaborate successfully with team members and other internal and customer stakeholders.

Business acumen be able to understand Applied Materials key business drivers.

Problem solver, critical thinker, detail oriented.
