Planner Leader / Manufacturing Planning Manager

The Planning Manager is the primary point of contact for the Planners in a Business Unit (BU). They have principal responsibility for overseeing the adherence to demand management processes, revenue commit alignment, and overall alignment of execution to the material plan. The BU Planning Manager works with the BU Supply Chain Director, in achieving Planning related deliverables, as per best practice(s) to achieve alignment to Creation performance objectives. Working closely with the Sr. Planners, they are accountable for material availability and costing to effectively meet both the customer’s needs and our internal supply chain metrics. Success in the role includes a positive, proactive approach to daily work along with strong communication and organizational skills.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Integrate, manage, and optimize Demand Management and Planning Processes for the BU.Ensures compliance to Planning / SC (Supply Chain) related processes and policies in the BU.Responsible for Planner attainment on customer inventory level targets, turns, projections etc.Liasing with the Director of Program Management to align with the Program Management community on strategic material plans for customers such as Safety Stock, Consignment, MSA agreements etc.Provide training to Planning team as requiredReport & drive key performance metrics as requiredAddress and assist in resolution of MRB materialAct as the SME for Planning & demand management activities for the BU / Region as well as an active Planning participant on accounts as neededAnalyze and report on material availability, by project, including identification of last part in house dates.Determine and manage implementation dates, and material cost impact, associated with ECOs & material Use-UpManage End of Life programs for customer liability claims (Project Close Outs Program), make decisions on what to do with excess materials (sell to customer, brokers etc.)Perform and approve Supply Chain Quarterly Business Review (QBR) Slides and ensure proper reporting of data and trendsAccountable for communication of order commits, and order status, to the Program ManagmentCommunicate changing needs or trends to the BU Ops as needed based on Supply Chain trends • Responsible for the customer forecast analysis, what if scenarios, planned forecast load and planned commit for revenueManage, and advise Planners on the Management of, NPI/LEAP ProgramsAssess and adjust workload and resources for the Planning group as needed to meet BU requirementsParticipate and advise on customer escalations, interventions and assist in crafting recovery plansAct as the Career Progression sign-off point of contact for the BU PlannersStand in for the Director of Supply Chain, as needed, in their absenceDrive adherence to the customer MSA’s (E & O claims, inventory turns, PPV recoveries etc.)Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years of planning experience within the electronics industry3yrs of managing direct reportsBachelor’s major in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Commerce, Operations, or equivalent combination of educational and work experience.Proficient English business communications skills, both written and verbal, including demonstrated customer communicationsProficiency in operating a computer including using a Windows based operating systems and related software • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel (v-lookups, data filters, pivot tables etc.)Proficient ERP system experience within a Supply Chain environment including planning, inventory control and purchasing, Oracle preferredLean Supply Chain experience would be beneficialAbility to define problems, collect data, analyze information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesKinaxis / Rapid Response Experience (Desired)SIOP Process Management Experience (Desired)

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 CAD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Please note that this salary range is not guaranteed, and the final offer may vary based on experience, education, location, and shift. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
