Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Planner Scheduler who can manage daily tasks with minimal supervision while understanding deliverables and meeting customer deadlines. The ideal candidate will evaluate customer requirements, develop manufacturing plans, and ensure effective communication across all departments.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate customer requirements and develop manufacturing plans for machinists.Analyze customer requirements to identify necessary operations and fulfill customer needs.Understand system requirements, capacity vs. load by work center, and customer demands to develop successful plans.Facilitate communication between all departments, providing solutions and fostering a team-oriented environment.Evaluate and escalate design processes as needed to drive continuous improvement.Estimate new customer RFQs, review the RFQ for core competencies, and estimate parts for potential new work.Provide technical support to the team or process.Lead team personnel to ensure product/process improvements meet safety, production goals, continuous improvement, and quality.Help develop continuous improvements and labor cost savings through waste reduction and operational efficiencies.Provide leadership by supporting all teammates and working together.Essential SkillsBachelor’s or master’s degree in business communications (preferred).Proficient with contracts, cost management, and the aerospace industry.2+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.Experience with aviation and aerospace manufacturing (a plus).Knowledge of AS 9100 Quality System (a plus).Working knowledge of operations and manufacturing.Strong communication skills to interact respectfully with customers and team members.Good time management skills, analytical abilities, and strong math skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts.Strong interpersonal skills to relate with all team members.Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365), Vantage, and EPICORE software.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be safety cautious when working alone or touring customers in the plant.Ability to develop more leads for additional work with customers.Ability to communicate customer requests to other team members.Work Environment
This position is onsite at a small machine shop located in west Wichita. The work environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication. Dress code and facility conditions will be discussed during the interview process.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
