Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules. ...
Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements. This individual is responsible for scheduling various work centers to meet customer requirements derived from the master production schedule at the Lafayette Plant. This person will also be accountable for managing the inventory levels of work in process items and raw materials in addition to working effectively to ensure that departmental OPS objectives are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities:
-Use various IT systems such as SAP, MES, Advaris to determine products and quantities to manufacture.
-Responsible for maintaining customer service levels at acceptable levels by scheduling production in an efficient manner. This includes identifying bottlenecks and analyzing loading vs. capacity.
-Must understand manufacturing workflows in all areas of the plant.
-Responsible for reviewing WIP levels to keep obsolete inventory at a minimum.
-Coordinate production schedules and accommodates priority requirements.
-Must support the production departments and work closely with the supervisors in the plant.
-Coordinate the workflow for manufacturing operations from scheduling items until the material has been completed and entered into finished goods ready to ship.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-Minimum 5+ years' manufacturing experience
-Strong analytical skills
