Provide program and/or project cost management. Analyze CPM schedules. Recommend workarounds and schedule improvements. Perform schedule time impact analysis. Support program management team in the greater San Francisco bay area of California area on primarily hospital and other vertical construction projects. Develop cost / schedule analysis presentations both graphically, written, and verbally. Responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and predicting the progress of construction transit projects, with project budgets ranging from $1 million to over$200 million. This includes delivering regular financial and schedule forecasts, reporting on budget discrepancies, and generating monthly and quarterly progress reports for senior management. Analyze the project's initial plan, official schedule, and monthly updates from contractors. Manage the tracking and processing of progress payments, alterations in contracts, funding challenges, procurement requisitions, and other financial matters associated with the project. Forecast expenses, drafting budgets, categorizing costs, monitoring allocated labor hours, validating invoices, and addressing budget-altering events. Engage in employing project management methodologies, evaluating risks, conducting cost analyses, and managing contingencies. Update budgetary information and forecasting costs using earned value analysis. Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management software, considering critical path analysis, resource allocation, and dependencies. Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies, processes, and procedures to optimize project performance and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management or related field and 4 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation in project controls or project management.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Project control principles, methodologies, and tools, including schedule development, cost control and performance measurement. CPM schedule analysis. Schedule time impact analysis. Financial expertise including forecasting, budgeting. Financial management (progress payments, contract variations, budgeting). Create and transmit project documents such as RFls, shop drawings logs, submittals, drawing logs. Develop construction schedules. 30-Hour OSHA Certificate.
