WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

As a Planning Coach, you will lead and influence the input/output of 3-10 employees’ productivity. You will actively listen, address employees' concerns, and foster a positive workplace culture. You’ll conduct follow-up meetings and be proactive in assessing the quality of work performed by employees. You’ll provide your team with the proper procedures and resources needed to attain results.

You’ll work in harmony with the DC Operations team to make the best business decisions and optimize the flow of work throughout the facility. You’ll need to process multiple demands to maximize the output of the Brimley Distribution Centre. You’ll attend workflow meetings to plan strategy, discuss pertinent information and share best practices with teammates.

You will manage your resources as required and provide regular status updates through reporting or during cross-functional meetings. You will monitor, review, and research reports daily to assure the accuracy of your team’s work and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

You’ll be responsible for conducting interviews and filling open positions within your roster.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

This role is responsible for leading a team of Planners who oversee the inputs and outputs of the Brimley Distribution Centre. Some of the tasks completed within a typical day would be:

Conducting a shift changeover meeting to ensure a smooth transition between operating shifts

Analyzing reporting to understand the goals for the day and developing a plan of action

Collaborating with DC Operations throughout the day to track progress, adjust plans accordingly

Monitoring issues as they arise, reprioritizing work to match available resources

Support employees as needed, conduct regular 1:1’s and team huddles

Create and revise work instructions

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:

You’ll report directly to the Planning Manager within the Distribution Operations team at the Brimley Distribution Centre in Scarborough. You’ll have counterparts on other operational shifts and will work with them daily to ensure a smooth transition between shifts. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal partners in DC Operations, Inventory Control & Marketplace Supply Chain. Externally, you will work with various transportation partners, Nike stores & wholesale customers.

Available Shifts :

AM Morning Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST (Mon to Fri)PM Afternoon Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST (Mon to Fri)MD Midnight Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST (Sun to Thu)

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

University or College degreeMinimum of 3 years of planning, traffic or operational supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environmentAbility to lead and influence others and to work independently without supervisionStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills, attention to details, working well under pressure, and able to meet deadlinesMust possess demonstrated ability to work as a team member, professionally handle confidential matters, and lead and influence others to accomplish operational objectivesMust possess excellent written and verbal skills, the ability to embrace and promote others' ideas, motivate employees, build, and maintain working relationships and stay focusedMust understand and foster a diverse workforceShift flexibility – will be required at times to work outside of scheduled shift for training, coverage or business needMust have the ability to access all areas of the warehouse and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.PC skills required, must be able to manipulate data in Excel & Tableau to help make informed decisionsPrior experience with SAP and/or Manhattan WMoS not required but would be beneficial
