Planning Lead- Billingham 

To £90,000 DOE + Rotation + Living Allowance  

Our client, a top-tier engineering contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries, is in need of an experienced Planning Lead to join the successful planning and execution of complex projects. With a strong background in project management, extensive experience in project planning, and the ability to lead a team effectively, the Project Planning Lead is responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within the budget.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring that all project activities are logically sequenced and aligned with overall project timelines. 

Work closely with project managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to allocate resources efficiently ensuring that labour, equipment, and materials are available and properly scheduled to meet project demands. 

Identify potential risks and scheduling conflicts that could impact project timelines & implement effective strategies to eliminate/minimise delays and ensure smooth project execution. 

Monitor the progress of project activities against the schedule, identify any delays and implement corrective actions.  

Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues. 

Act as the primary point of contact for planning-related matters, facilitating communication and coordination between the project team, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders ensuring that all parties are informed of schedule changes and project updates. 

Ensure that all planning activities adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.  

Degree in Project Management or related field. 

Proven years of experience in project planning and scheduling, leading the planning team and managing complex, large-scale projects.  

Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling methodologies. 

Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project & other relevant software & tools. 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
