We are seeking a Planning/Scheduling Analyst in our Newtown, CT facility. This role is responsible for various duties and functions that support key day-to-day production planning/scheduling related activities and shipment coordination. They interface daily with Supervisors and Managers to track and monitor production schedules. The Analyst communicates to both external and internal customers regarding requirements as well as acting as a liaison between internal and external customers for increased customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide support to Sales team by responding to customer inquiries and assisting with customer RFQ’s Responsible for overseeing outgoing international and domestic shipments to current customer base Monitor and jointly maintain files for all incoming RMA shipments Support the management of customer KPIs to ensure on time delivery of both new products and repairs Assist with production schedules using MRP System and Excel spreadsheets Provide weekly production update to major customer’s SAP system Responsible for communicating external and internal customer requirements and acting as the liaison between internal and external customers resulting in increased customer satisfaction High visibility, multi-departmental interfacing positionEducation & Experience
2 or 4-year degree, preferably in business or supply chain management or equivalent of experience and/or other education 5+ years of experience in production scheduling/planning and understanding of MRP functions, logistics, and supply chain management 3+ years of customer account management including significant customer interaction Lean Manufacturing experience: JIT, Kanban and Pull Systems is highly desirable APICS certification and exposure to Oracle ERP a plus Previous experience expediting products/parts in a manufacturing environment Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software) Experience with problem analysis and resolution Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP/ERP systems)Skills
