Weekend Shift, Friday - Monday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
What you’ll do on a typical day:
Lead/direct all support functions of the distribution center, quality/continuous improvement, inventory management, data research and operational planning Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance Research and plan inbound and/or outbound loads Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer; partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts Handle costs, mitigate risks and create value for the customer to achieve net revenue and operating income goals Track, record and maintain quality data; monitor operations and quality processes, and troubleshoot issues Maintain cycle count program, meet SLA standards and provide results to customer Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives through standardized improvement processes for the facility Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
2 years of experience with complex demand planning activities Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projectionsIt’d be great if you also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field APICS certification 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience Bilingual English/Spanish Experience in Lean manufacturing principles Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving Resource and project management experience Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environmentThis job requires the ability to:
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environmentsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
