Kimley-Horn is seeking planning/urban design graduates to join our Downtown Los Angeles, CA office!
Responsibilities Serve a diverse range of clients including cities, transit agencies, MPOs, and private clientsSupport various project managers and collaborating with team members on a variety of tasks, which could include preparing:Land use plans, specific plans, community plans, and vision plansUrban design and master plans for transit stations, campuses, and infill developmentZoning/development codes, design guidelines and standardsTransit-oriented communities/development and station area plansMobility hub and transit station conceptual designComplete street and active transportation plans Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as urban planning, urban studies, stastics, architecture, or landscape architectureWorking knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)Experience preparing urban design exhibits, including conceptual plans, Photoshop or hand-rendered perspectives, and cross sections, among othersWorking knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and preparation of GIS map exhibitsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and preparation of conceptual and schematic design plan setsExperience building 3D models in SketchUP and EnscapeExperience preparing written content and exhibits for planning reports and professional memosExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and a strong work ethicStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamExperience preparing professional renderings in extensions or programs such as Lumion, Rhino, or 3D Viz is desirable, but not required.Salary Range: $82,000 - 89,500
