TITLE: Plant Accountant
LOCATION: Indianapolis Plant – Indianapolis, IN
BUSINESS UNIT: US/CA Texture & Healthful Solutions
REPORTS TO: Lead Accountant
Primary Function
Execute accounting transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP ensuring transactions are accurately and properly stated. Develop, analyze, and report plant performance to management for comparison of actual results to plan and latest estimates. Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
Key Deliverables/Critical Deliverables:
Business
•Financial Reporting – Participate in the preparation of accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.
•Forecasting/Budgeting – Work cross-functionally across Texture & Healthful Solutions’ plants and monitor trends to prepare monthly forecasts and periodic budgets over plant specific spending, including depreciation and permit spending.
•Account Reconciliations – Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed.
•Audit Activities – Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing. Work with internal and external audit teams providing requested documentation pertaining to related work.
•Business Process Procedures – Ensure Business Process Procedures (BPP’s) are written and current for all job functions and that they comply with internal control policies.
•Fixed Asset – assist plant locations in the proper routing and approval of capital projects by accurately tracking project progression, spend, and timely closures.
•Toll Accounting - Post and/or review activity at toll manufacturing sites to ensure production and consumption is properly reported. Accrue tolling fees as necessary, summarize activity, analyze monthly variances and develop standard costs for tolled products.
Agility and Innovation
•Analysis – Perform analyses for T&H Plants to proactively identify and communicate grind, yield and production reporting issues.
•Account Analysis – Perform analyses on T&H various spending accounts to proactively identify and communicate spending issues.
•Ad-Hoc – Willing and available to work on special projects focused on accounting, financial analysis, financial forecasting, financial reporting and capital as required.
Relationships and People
•Develop Relationships – Build and maintain collaborative relationships across all units and functional managers Indy COE Plant to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
•0-3 years relevant experience
•Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting concepts and theories used in the manufacturing and business environments
•SAP Experience preferred
•PowerSteering or capital software experience preferred
•Ability to prioritize and meet deadline requirements
•Inventory and Fixes Asset understanding
•Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization
•Proven proficiency in the use of MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Ability to travel as necessary

$65,000.00-$86,666.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
