The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing daily financial operations to support the affiliated companies, facilitating collaboration with suppliers and customers. The individual will oversee the complete finance function for both organizations and contribute significantly to their operational efficiency. Responsibilities include the preparation, examination, and analysis of accounting records and financial reports to ensure their accuracy and conformity to established standards.

Expertise in inventory management is essential, including skills in analysis, cycle counts, variance investigations, and reporting findings to management. The candidate must be adept at implementing inventory controls and process enhancements to optimize inventory processes. Collaborating effectively with the production team is a crucial aspect of this role. The selected candidate will be integrated into the local management teams that report directly to the executive leadership of each affiliate. Given that these companies operate in the safety technology sector, precision and accuracy are paramount across all team endeavors. Analyze key cost components, including Material, Labor, Scrap, and Absorption Rates, and evaluate cost variances. Investigate financial trends and issues, draw actionable insights, and implement solutions as necessary. Monitor financial performance across both organizations, collaborating with local management to address identified issues. Create and manage manufacturing orders. Effective management of working capital, ensuring timely Accounts Receivable collections and maintaining healthy cash flow through customer communications. Engage in Supplier Financial Management, building strong relationships with vendors in coordination with Purchasing Managers. Assist in the preparation of financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis. Oversee purchasing activities to ensure alignment with budget targets, reporting discrepancies and addressing underlying factors while ensuring customer needs are met. Regularly review and enhance internal controls, communicating necessary improvements to the management team. Perform various ad-hoc tasks and special projects as assigned. Maintain detailed balance sheet schedules and account registries. Coordinate reconciliation of inter-company accounts and manage inter-company debtor and creditor communications. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including taxes (Corporate, Payroll, Sales & Use Tax), Government Statistical Returns, and Auditors. Oversee year-end statutory audits, ensuring that schedules are appropriately maintained. Conduct variance analysis against budgets, prior year data, or current targets. Prepare budgets, cash flow statements, shipping estimates, and other forecasts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. At least five (5) years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
