Description We are looking for a dedicated Plant Accountant to oversee financial operations and reporting. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial data, maintaining compliance, and supporting business decision-making through detailed analysis. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day financial activities and long-term strategic planning. Responsibilities: · Prepare reports and statements related to plant financial matters and ensure quality and timeliness of entry to corporate accounting and plant operating departments. · Assist in providing accurate period and year-end closing activities. · Maintain fixed asset accounts. · Prepare and assess fixed asset capital requests. · Complete monthly account reconciliations. · Review plant payables and receivables to ensure compliance with budget. · Prepare for and participate in all internal and external accounting related audits. · Assist in annual financial audits. · Analyze data to support business decision making. · Gather financial data and maintain financial reports, records, general ledgers, and account structure. · Back up for accounts payable and accounts receivable. · Support the corporate AP/AR team. · Assist the accounting team in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements. · Maintain standard costs and inventory valuation. · Analyze inventory quarterly and prepare reserve adjustments. · Assist with filings of taxes and other external reporting requirements. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. + Ability to multitask in fast paced, time sensitive environment. + Strong communication skills and effective communication with all levels of the organization. + Highly detail oriented and organized.
