What you'll do:

Analyze and accurately report current month’s financial results to the plants, sales and corporate management in accordance with corporate format and time requirements. Prepare monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan and strategic planning. Submit all financial transactions, transmissions and reporting on a timely and accurate basis.Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and report all findings. Investigate and explain book-to-physical variances. Assemble and lead monthly inventory audits and report findings. Maintain a perpetual inventory for finished goods and reconcile this perpetual to production, shipping and returns daily. Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly.Responsible for internal controls at the plant for operations and finance. Assure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley. Resolve questions and internal controls with corporate financial management. Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and results are accurately reported.Develop and maintain standard costs, create and maintain bills of materials.Attend daily production meetings. Perform periodic walkthroughs of the plant with the Direct of Operation to discuss production and costing issues. Review labor reporting and cost, materials, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels.

What you'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in accountingMinimum five (5) years’ experience as a Plant Controller or Cost Manager in manufacturing environment, managing a staff with emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysisExcellent computer skills and the ability to create and modify spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA, CMA OR CPA with solid cost accounting background; experience with JD Edwards and system conversion.Multiple years’ experience as a Plant ControllerExperience with JD Edwards and system conversation
